【Abstract in Chinese】 根据内蒙古宁城道虎沟产出的一块古蝉科后翅化石,建立1新属1新种——宁城美丽古蝉(Kallicossus ningchengensis gen.et sp.nov.)。新属有别于古蝉科其它已描述的属,其特征为M1+2长,分支点远离翅基部,RP与M1愈合一小段,横脉m-cua存在且长。文中对道虎沟地层已报道古蝉类进行了总结,并基于此对该地区化石层的地质时代进行了探讨。新属种的发现进一步证实古蝉科在侏罗纪中期生物多样性程度非常高。

【Abstract】 The extinct family Palaeontinidae(Hemiptera:Cicadomorpha)appeared in the Late Triassic,flourished in the Jurassic,and became extinct in the mid-Cretaceous(Wang B.et al.,2007).Palaeontinid fossils have been discovered in Europe,Central Asia,Russia,China,and South America.The Daohugou biota from northeast China is well-known for yielding abundant and diverse insect taxa.To date,34 palaeontinid species within16 genera have been described from the Daohugou fossil beds(TableⅠ).The age of the Daohugou biota is somewhat controversial(Shen et al.,2003).Six genera(Plachutella,Gansucossus,Palaeontinodes,Martynovocossus,Suljuktocossus and Sinopalaeocossus)discovered in Daohugou area were also reported from the Early and Middle Jurassic of other areas of north China,Russia and Central Asia.This supports the view that this biota belongs to the upper Middle Jurassic to the low-er Upper Jurassic,as indicated from many studies in biostratigraphy and isotopic geochronology(Shen et al.,2003;Rasnitsyn and Zhang,2004;Gao and Ren, 2006). Herein, Kallicossus ningchengensis Chen,Zhang and Wang gen.et sp.nov.is identified based on a hindwing fossil.The new taxon further ascertains the fact that palaeontinids were highly diverse in this period.
